About the venue

The Verzetsmuseum Amsterdam (Dutch Resistance Museum) tells the story of the Netherlands during the Second World War and the German occupation, focusing on the resistance and the everyday choices ordinary people had to make. The permanent exhibition combines personal objects, photographs and stories, with a separate section aimed at children. It is housed in a former theatre building, Plancius, opposite the Hortus Botanicus, and also hosts temporary exhibitions and educational programmes.
