About the venue

The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam is the national museum for modern and contemporary art and design. Its collection spans work by Mondrian, Malevich and Appel through to Warhol and Basquiat. The original 1895 building was extended in 2012 with a striking white wing that locals quickly nicknamed 'the bathtub'.
