About the venue

Amsterdam's Olympisch Stadion was built for the 1928 Summer Olympics and designed by architect Jan Wils, who won a gold medal for the design at those same Games. The landmark building, with its distinctive tower, is a protected national monument and today hosts concerts, sporting events and large-scale gatherings. The original marathon gate and scoreboard have been preserved.
