About the venue

The Noorderkerk is a seventeenth-century Protestant church on the Noordermarkt in the Jordaan, completed in 1623 to a design by Hendrick de Keyser. Its Greek-cross floor plan makes it one of the earliest examples of purpose-built Protestant church architecture in the Netherlands. Today the building doubles as a concert venue, particularly well regarded for chamber music and choral performances thanks to its warm acoustics.
