Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ is Amsterdam's main venue for contemporary music, housed in a striking glass building on the IJ waterfront next to Centraal Station. Opened in 2005, it combines a large hall with a flexible stage and the Bimhuis - the city's renowned jazz and improvised music club. Programming ranges from new classical and electronic music to world and experimental sounds.
