Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder

Amsterdam

About the venue

Museum Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder is a 17th-century canal house in Amsterdam's old centre, with a hidden Catholic church tucked away on its upper floors. Built around 1663, when Catholics were barred from worshipping in public, the clandestine church remained in use for over two centuries. The building has survived almost entirely intact and is one of the best-preserved hidden churches anywhere in the world.
