About the venue

Museum De Lakenhal is Leiden's city museum, housed in a seventeenth-century cloth hall that once served the city's prosperous textile trade. Its collection features paintings by Leiden masters such as Lucas van Leyden and Jan Steen, alongside applied arts and historical objects. Following a major renovation, the museum reopened in 2019 with a contemporary wing added to the listed building.
