Description was written before the event

This evening focuses on the young Leiden art scene, inspired by Giselle Kuster - an artist and gallery owner who played an important role in Leiden's cultural life during the 1940s and 1950s.

About the venue: Museum De Lakenhal

Museum De Lakenhal is Leiden's city museum, housed in a seventeenth-century cloth hall that once served the city's prosperous textile trade. Its collection features paintings by Leiden masters such as Lucas van Leyden and Jan Steen, alongside applied arts and historical objects. Following a major renovation, the museum reopened in 2019 with a contemporary wing added to the listed building.
