About the venue

The Zonneberg Caves are a vast network of marl tunnels carved into the Sint-Pietersberg hill on the southern edge of Maastricht. Quarrying of the soft limestone over many centuries left behind thousands of metres of passages. Guided tours take visitors through the underground labyrinth and explain how the caves served as a wartime shelter during the Second World War.
