The ENCI-groeve is a former limestone quarry on the southern edge of Maastricht, where chalk was extracted for cement production from 1926 until 2019. Since the factory closed, the site has been gradually transforming into a nature and recreation area, with striking geological rock faces. It also serves as an outdoor venue for festivals and large-scale events.
