Lying Concert: Canto Ostinato Special Laurenskerk Rotterdam
Minimalist masterpiece Canto Ostinato by Simeon ten Holt performed on pianos, organ and cello in a unique lying-down listening experience at the Laurenskerk.
The Laurenskerk is Rotterdam's only surviving medieval church, built in the Gothic style during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. It was badly damaged in the 1940 bombing of the city centre and painstakingly restored in the decades that followed. Today it serves as a concert hall and event venue, prized for its remarkable acoustics and historic pipe organs.
