About the venue

1646 is an independent art space in The Hague dedicated to contemporary and experimental art. It shows rotating exhibitions, performances and projects by both emerging and established artists, deliberately operating outside the mainstream art circuit. Alongside its exhibition programme, the space regularly hosts talks and other events.
