Pieter Jouke & Ronald Snijders - De Staat Van Verwarring

De Staat van Verwarring is the absurd anti-talk show by Ronald Snijders and Pieter Jouke, once a cult programme on VPRO. The live show features absurd videos, new words, a quiz with real contestants, linguistic confusion and interviews with guests from the neighbourhood - naturally in Dutch and in colour.

The Walhalla audience has previously found themselves in the room with guests such as Ronald Giphart, Maxim Hartman (Rembo & Rembo), Lucky Fonz III, Wout Brama, Janne Schra and Hans Kazan.

Pieter Jouke is known from the one-liner collective Padoem Patsss (BNN-VARA) and contributes to Dit Was Het Nieuws. He was previously involved in Zondag Met Lubach and De Avondshow met Arjen Lubach (VPRO), De Taalstaat and GIEL on VERONICA. He presented CQC and appeared in De slimste mens and Koppensnellers. Jouke is one of the three minds behind Buro Renkema (together with Arjen Lubach and Edo Schoonbeek) and is currently performing his solo show 'Uit Stilstand' in theatres.

Ronald Snijders wrote, among other things, the nonsense dictionary De Alfabetweter. In November 2025, 'Geen boek' was released, featuring the best texts from ten years of De Schrikkelkalender - the four-yearly tear-off calendar he writes with Fedor van Eldijk. He appeared in the VARA programme RAMBAM and as a guest in various talk shows. His previous show 'Als mens' received four stars in De Volkskrant and the qualification "brilliantly funny" from Theaterkrant. Earlier he made Verkeerde Benen, One Man Show, Welke Show, Groot Succes 2 and Een avond met mij.
