60th Edition Cameretten Festival (semi-finalists try-outs)

Cameretten celebrates its 60th anniversary this year and remains the most important stage for new cabaret talent in the Netherlands and Flanders. In October and November, the six semi-finalists of this jubilee edition perform try-outs in theatres - including Kantine Walhalla in Rotterdam.

Each evening features three acts on the programme. The range is broad: recognizable anecdotes that build to hilarity, absurdist theatre, or a song that unexpectedly moves you. The names of the semi-finalists will be announced in early October.

Former Cameretten participants who later broke through include Brigitte Kaandorp, Richard Groenendijk, Jandino Asporaat, Plien & Bianca, Daniël Arends, René van Meurs, Ronald Goedemondt, Kiki Schippers, Janneke de Bijl, Remy Evers, Yunus Aktas and Bro's.
