Mynx - Replika is Better Than You

Imagine a partner who is always available, never contradicts you, and reacts exactly as you want. In the world of AI, that's possible - but is a relationship with a chatbot really a relationship?

In My Replika Is Better Than You, we follow Lynn and Maeve, a young couple with a struggling relationship. They decide to open their relationship to AI partners: they download the Replika app and each set up their own 'perfect match'. Initially skeptical, they both become completely entangled in their artificial relationships.

MYNX is a Rotterdam-based music theatre collective consisting of Amelie Ackx, Myrthe van der Vuurst de Vries, Luka de Koe and Mikki Passenier. The collective creates performances about digitalization and escapism from a Gen Z perspective, with newly composed music and a queer perspective on humanity in a rapidly changing world.
