Josua Peter

Josua Peter is a Dutch-South African singer-songwriter who grew up between two worlds: the warmth of South African traditions and the pragmatism of North Holland. That background shines through in his blend of folk, indie and pop - songs that can be both intimate and expansive, carried by a voice with a four-octave range. His narrative lyrics spring from personal experience but touch on something universal: questions about identity, connection and who you are when all expectations fall away.

His debut single Bones immediately put him on the map: a Radio 2 Top Song, a 3FM Megahit and a 3FM Talent nomination after his performance at Noorderslag. His first EP brought him to Paaspop, Concert at SEA and Appelpop.

This coming autumn marks a new chapter with Floating, the first single from his second EP Closer Than You Think - work in which Josua no longer writes from the search, but from what he has found along the way.
