lecture culture

Museum Panorama Mesdag presents a lecture on Betzy Akersloot-Berg as part of the Marguerite Tuijn lecture series.

About the venue: Museum Panorama Mesdag

Museum Panorama Mesdag in The Hague is home to one of the largest surviving cylindrical paintings in the world. Completed in 1881 by Hendrik Willem Mesdag, it depicts a sweeping 360-degree view of the seaside resort of Scheveningen. Visitors take it in from a central platform, surrounded by a sculpted dune landscape that deepens the illusion of standing in the open air.
