About: Fischer-Z

John Watts launched Fischer-Z in 1976 and, with tracks like 'The Worker' and 'So Long', became one of the most distinctive voices in British new wave - though the band always found its biggest following on the European continent. In 2026 they mark a significant milestone: fifty years of Fischer-Z.
