Wende

Wende debuted in 2003 and has released eight albums since. She won multiple Edison Awards - her album MENS received the Edison Pop in 2019 - and reached second place in the Album Top 100 with Sterrenlopen, a collaboration with Froukje and S10.

For Vrijplaats, she returned to her core: just her voice and a piano. The show ran for nineteen sold-out nights at Carré in 2024 and 2025, featuring guests including Sef, MEROL, Jacqueline Govaert, Antoon and Naaz. This was followed by a tour across the Netherlands and Belgium; all twenty-two shows sold out.

Her reach extends beyond pop music. She has worked with the Dutch National Ballet and Netherlands Dance Theatre, was nominated for a Golden Calf as an actress, and performed in the English-language production The Promise in venues including New York, Adelaide and Hong Kong. In Maastricht, she brings all these worlds together.
