Wende Snijders (1978), performing as Wende, is a Dutch singer and theatre-maker who moves freely between pop, chanson, electronics and jazz. She trained at the Academie voor Kleinkunst, made her name with French chanson and went on to build a distinctive stage language spanning intimate club shows and major venues such as Carré and Paradiso. Her awards include multiple Edisons, the Annie M.G. Schmidt Prize and a Golden Harp; she was also nominated for a Golden Calf as a film actress.
Wende released the single 'We Doen Alsof' as a precursor to her ninth album 'Er Is Nog Tijd', which will be released on 29 January 2027.
Around the album release, Wende will tour from February 2027 with a club tour through twenty pop venues in the Netherlands and Belgium, including three evenings in Paradiso.
The 'Het Experiment' series in small pop venues throughout the Netherlands was sold out; a second round under the same name will follow this autumn.
