Tim Hartog
Principles. Those self-imposed rules of life that always seem to pop up at exactly the wrong moment. In principle, Tim Hartog doesn't lie, but ask him how he's doing and you get the rosy summary - not the whole story. Principles are fine and dandy, but without them it's already hard enough.
'In principle' this show is about principles. Unless that goes against his principles. Then not. Principled objections? Certainly. But if you buy a ticket, you're in principle very welcome.
Following the success of 'Friction', Tim Hartog returns to Theater De Liefde with his new programme 'In principle'. Hartog graduated from the Koningstheateracademie in 2010, reached the final of the Leiden Cabaret Festival and has built a large audience over the years through his social media channels and performances at Comedy Club Haug. He hosted the very first Rijnmondse New Year's Conference (2023) and reached the final of 'The Smartest Person' (2024). On television he appeared in 'The Comedy Factory' and 'The Great Improvisation Show', and he performed at festivals such as Paaspop and Lowlands.
Press reviews of his previous programme 'Friction': "With a combination of sharp jokes, compelling stories and subtle emotions, Hartog creates a show that is not only entertaining but also thought-provoking." (I Love Theater) - "His struggle is woven as a red thread through the show. This brings depth and sometimes some weight, without the humour suffering from it." (Theaterkrant)
