Voices of Female Mystics - Course

In this course, five medieval female mystics speak from their personal experiences of profound spiritual encounter: Hildegard of Bingen (12th century), Beatrice of Nazareth (13th century), Julian of Norwich (14th century), Catherine of Genoa (15th century), and Teresa of Avila (16th century).

The course builds on the introductory course Mysticism & Mystery, but can also be followed without prior knowledge. By reading texts from well-known and lesser-known female mystics together, you explore how you can remain receptive to the mystery of life in our time.

There are five fortnightly sessions: on 28 September, 12 October, 26 October, 9 November, and 23 November.
