But Whatever Happens, Music Sounds — Splendor, Amsterdam

This programme takes its title from Ischa Meijer's 'Wintertenen, luizen en eczeem, de typhus en de kanker en de griep' - Olga's favourite song. Olga Zuiderhoek has created a performance about 20th-century music, with Gerard Bouwhuis on piano. The music takes centre stage: Bartók, Antheil, Andriessen, Breuker, Gershwin, Johnny & Jones and Stravinsky.

They bring the dead into play: Gerard performs with Breuker, Olga sings with Ischa. Total theatre on 5 square metres - text, music and image, often funny, sometimes devastatingly sad. Gerard plays and Olga explains why. 'The 20th century saw 2 world wars, I missed them both - how much luck can you have.'

Text and performance: Olga Zuiderhoek
