Eigen Werk in Uitvoering: Handsome Molly

Rockcafé Taste presents Eigen Werk in Uitvoering (Original Work in Performance), a series that showcases bands with original material six times a year - no cover bands, no standard commercial programming, but authentic music from established and emerging artists. This collaboration with the Alliantie Muziekcafé's quality mark brings fresh talent to the stage.

On this evening, Handsome Molly from Apeldoorn takes the stage: a quartet featuring Ton Terink (singer/songwriter, guitar), Lody Willemsen (guitar and vocals), Martin de Bes (drums) and Jacco Verhaaf (bass). Their music is rooted in classic rock from the 1970s and 1980s, blended with (power)blues and influences from soul, country and folk - ranging from swinging rock numbers to tender ballads.

The band released their debut album 'Free' in December 2015, featuring the single and music video 'Sweet Dreams'. For Serious Request 2017, they wrote 'Put down the barrel - Reunite', featuring The Bombita's (Herman Brood / Gruppo Sportivo), which was broadcast on 3FM among other stations (music video: https://youtu.be/SBhUiXXtnLg?is=PF5najrE8D-4i6GR). This was followed by the singles 'I rather die', 'On my knees' and in January 2026 'Shower'. With over 35 original songs in their repertoire, Handsome Molly delivers a full evening's performance.
