About: Yard Act

Leeds quartet Yard Act have built a reputation on James Smith's sharp, spoken-word social commentary delivered with dry wit. Now on their third album 'You're Gonna Need a Little Music' (2026), recorded live as a full band for the first time, they sound more direct and urgent than ever.
