Roel C Verburg
In this show, Roel performs a mix of old and new songs, hidden gems, major hits and freshly tested material.
Roel C. Verburg is a comedian in the body of a musician - also known as a stand-up song comedian or guitar comedian. His songs cover everything: relationship problems, linguistic pedantry, time travel, drinking habits. The common thread is always humour. He sometimes slips into eerie characters in his numbers, but is himself a cheerful joker who goes through life making jokes.
On television he appeared in DWDD, Kopspijkers, Padoem Patsss and Lubach. On YouTube he scored hits with "Slechtste Rapper Van De Straat" and "Onder De Plak", and recently went viral with a piece about waiters who use too many verbs ("Had u iets te drinken gehad willen hebben?").
"Roel C. Verburg is a phenomenon in himself." - Trouw

"A succession of clever observations, sharp jokes and musical interludes" - ilovetheater
"Why don't we all know Roel C. Verburg?" - Marcel van Roosmalen
