Wally Baram

Wally Baram is a Mexican-Syrian stand-up comedian, writer, and actress from New York City.

On television, she is a series regular and co-executive producer of the Amazon series OVERCOMPENSATING (created by Benito Skinner), which was recently renewed for a second season. For her acting debut as 'Carmen' in that series, she received a nomination for the 2026 Independent Spirit Award in the category 'Best Breakthrough Performance'. Previously, she worked as a producer on the Netflix series NEON (created by Shea Serrano) and as co-producer on the Apple TV series SHRINKING, with Jason Segel, Brett Goldstein, and Bill Lawrence. As a writer, she is credited on ENGLISH TEACHER (FX), WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS (seasons 4 & 5, Hulu/FX), BETTY (season 2, HBO), and SPRUNG (Freevee).

In the stand-up world, she was selected as a Just For Laughs 'New Faces' performer and made her late-night debut on THE LATE SHOW WITH STEPHEN COLBERT (CBS). Her comedy explores growing up with a Mexican-Syrian background and the peculiar everyday reality of life as Gen-Z.
