BaBa ZuLa performs original compositions with so much improvisation that no two shows are ever the same. The Istanbul-based band - founded in 1996 - blends shamanic roots with contemporary Istanbul, using the electric saz and wooden spoons among other instruments.

On stage they combine music, poetry, dance and theatre, enhanced by hypnotic rhythms and colourful costumes.
