Ontworteld: W.C. Handy en Leadbelly + Music by Friends takes place on Friday, 2 October 2026 at Splendor on Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat in Amsterdam-Oost. River Adomeit presents this new series at the music venue, housed in a nineteenth-century former water-pumping station and run as a cooperative of professional musicians. The evening unfolds in two sets: first Siebren Smink performs solo on guitar with 'Music by Friends', followed by Cem Karayalçin, France Amado and River Adomeit performing classic blues by W.C. Handy and Leadbelly. This is the first of three Dutch dates Adomeit has scheduled for the coming months.
