Daniël Belinfante - Et in Arcadia Ego

Presentation concert of the new album "Daniël Belinfante - Et in Arcadia Ego": a piano recital by Dimitri Malignan featuring music by Daniël Belinfante, a Dutch-Jewish composer born in Amsterdam in 1893 and murdered in Auschwitz in 1945. These are the first recordings of his works.

The programme places Belinfante's music alongside that of composers who inspired him or whose aesthetics closely aligned with his own: Bach, Chopin, Schumann, Debussy, Milhaud - and a few more surprises.

The album is part of the Missing Voices collection, a project by Dimitri Malignan dedicated to recording and bringing attention to music by composers persecuted during the Holocaust.
