Can techno tell the story of the climate crisis? EarthSonic, the global project by In Place of War, transforms the climate crisis into music.

The evening features two premieres of immersive music installations - Two Seas and Vinorun - a live AV set by Paranoid London, and an exclusive panel with Paul Hartnoll (Orbital) and Matt Black (Coldcut), among others.

About: Paranoid London

The London pair Gerardo Delgado and Quinn Whalley build their live sets from analogue hardware and raw TB-303 acid - reclaiming the Black and queer roots of acid house with a distinctly British punk attitude. Their 2024 album showed they can stretch beyond the strict acid formula without losing their underground edge.

Paul Hartnoll is a British musician and producer, best known as one half of the electronic duo Orbital, which he formed with his brother Phil. The pair became a defining act of the UK rave and techno scene in the 1990s, celebrated for their intense live performances and records like Orbital 2 and In Sides.

About: Matt Black

Matt Black is a British musician and producer, best known as one half of Coldcut, the duo he formed with Jonathan More in the late 1980s. Coldcut helped shape the UK's dance and hip-hop scene and founded the influential label Hex Media. Black has long been a pioneer in combining live visuals with electronic music.
