About the venue: Oude Kerk

The Oude Kerk is Amsterdam's oldest surviving building, founded in the early 14th century on a small island in what is now the city centre. For decades the Gothic church has doubled as a venue for contemporary art, photography and music - including classical concerts and the annual World Press Photo exhibition. The tombstone-covered floor and historic organs make for a striking backdrop to its modern programme.

About: Carmen Villain

Norwegian-Mexican producer Carmen Villain constructs her sets from layered dub textures, flute melodies and field recordings - music that works as meditation as much as dancefloor material. With the fresh album Memoria in hand, she performs at Le Guess Who? in Utrecht this November.
