Strange Fruit 2.0 — Het Scheepvaartmuseum, Amsterdam

In the fourth Atlantic Window, choreographer Sedrig Verwoert presents an account of his personal journey to Suriname and Curaçao, exploring dance in the diaspora. The dance film Strange Fruit 2.0 is part of the programme.

About the venue: Het Scheepvaartmuseum

Het Scheepvaartmuseum occupies a monumental 17th-century warehouse on Amsterdam's eastern waterfront, built for the Admiralty of Amsterdam. Its collection covers Dutch maritime history through ship models, historic charts and navigational instruments, with a full-scale replica of the VOC vessel Amsterdam moored alongside. The building also hosts temporary exhibitions and private events.
