For centuries, a Viking sword lay hidden in the Oude IJssel near Doetinchem. When the river was rerouted in the 1950s, a dredger operator spotted it by chance and entrusted it to the Stadsmuseum. After thorough restoration, the sword is now on display - more impressive than ever.
