About the venue: Hortus botanicus Leiden

The Hortus botanicus Leiden is one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world, founded in 1590 as part of Leiden University. Its collections span thousands of plant species from across the globe, with roots going back to the seventeenth century. Alongside the outdoor gardens, glasshouses shelter tropical and subtropical plants, and the venue regularly hosts guided tours and lectures.
