Glass Made in Antiquity — Allard Pierson, Amsterdam

The exhibition 'Glass Made in Antiquity' at the Allard Pierson showcases over 200 glass objects from ancient times. What stands out is how well this fragile material has survived the centuries.

About the venue: Allard Pierson

The Allard Pierson is the archaeological museum of the University of Amsterdam, with one of the largest collections of Greek, Egyptian and Near Eastern antiquities in the Netherlands. The nineteenth-century building on the Oude Turfmarkt originally served as a bank. Alongside its permanent collection, the museum hosts temporary exhibitions and lectures throughout the year.
