Hélène and Michel lead a carefree life in a small French town in 1958. He is the head of the household, she knows her place as wife and mother - until the family unexpectedly lands in the year 2025.

For Hélène, the modern world feels like liberation: her life no longer needs to revolve around her husband's expectations and society's demands. Michel experiences that same world as a shock. The certainties he has always relied on have suddenly vanished. As old convictions clash with new ideas, tensions and hidden desires surface.
