Russian pianist Alexander Kashpurin performs on Saturday, 3 October 2026 at Stadsschouwburg De Harmonie in Leeuwarden. The venue, located at Ruiterskwartier, is Friesland's largest stage and hosts a varied programme spanning opera, theatre, and classical music. This concert is one of four Dutch dates on Kashpurin's tour, with additional performances scheduled in Geldrop, Amsterdam, and Vijfhuizen. About: Alexander Kashpurin

Winner of both the jury and audience prizes at the 2026 International Franz Liszt Piano Competition in Utrecht, Kashpurin stepped in as a late substitute and won the hall with Liszt's Second Piano Concerto. The St. Petersburg pianist is known for his Meta Opus programmes, in which pieces from different eras are shaped into a single continuous narrative.
