RBO 26/27: Tosca

Floria Tosca and Mario Cavaradossi live for each other and for their art - until Cavaradossi helps an escaped prisoner and the two make a dangerous enemy: police chief Baron Scarpia. Forced to submit to his perverse desires, Tosca must make an unbearable choice: sleep with the man she hates to save the man she loves.

The acclaimed production by Oliver Mears returns, with Puccini's operatic thriller set in a contemporary, war-torn Rome. Daniel Oren conducts Aleksandra.
