Flat Earth Society — Het Speelhuis, Helmond

In 2026, John Coltrane would have turned 100. At the invitation of Bozar, FES (Flat Earth Society) presents a tribute to this musician whose influence has touched generations of artists - both within and far beyond jazz.

FES approaches his legacy through unexpected musical detours and winding paths. Coltrane's work is examined, dissected and reworked in a manner that is playful, sharp-witted and fearless - fitting for a musician who was above all a seeker.

About: Flat Earth Society

Fronted by Peter Vermeersch and Peter Vandenberghe, this Flemish big band delivers concerts full of unexpected turns, somewhere between jazz, brass band tradition and avant-garde. With fifteen musicians on stage, Flat Earth Society produces a sound that resists easy labelling.
