Exhibition on the Uitlegger and the Freshwater War

The Waterline Museum presents a new exhibition about the history of the Uitlegger. This flat-bottomed vessel, crewed by naval soldiers, played a central role in the so-called Freshwater War and is considered the distant ancestor of the modern landing craft.
