Since forming in Hamilton, Ontario in 2007, Counterparts have grown from local underground favourites into one of metalcore's most respected acts. Seven studio albums and the surprise 2024 EP Heaven Let Them Die show a band that keeps pushing its sound harder.

Counterparts played the kickoff of their European headliner tour in Prague in January 2026, with shows in Leipzig, Berlin and other cities, with support from Sunami, One Step Closer and God Complex.

In July 2025 the band announced a North American headliner tour for the rest of 2025, with support from Thrown, 156/Silence and Split Chain.

On 7 November 2024 Counterparts surprisingly released the EP Heaven Let Them Die via Pure Noise Records, their first new music in two years.
