CHVE: Musica Sacra

Colin H. van Eeckhout is the vocalist of Belgian post-metal collective Amenra, but with his solo project CHVE he takes a completely different direction. Fourteen years ago he bought a hurdy-gurdy - initially without a plan - and unexpectedly began his solo music journey.

Under the name CHVE, he has complete creative freedom: experimenting without limits, and embracing the vulnerability that comes with making music alone. His sound consists of repeating drones from the hurdy-gurdy, percussion and the sounds of stones, woven together with his soft voice. It is not metal, but the artistic stature is comparable to that of Amenra.
