Cocytus is a female-fronted metal band from South Limburg, formed in 2025 and consisting of five members. The band combines death and black metal into a powerful sound that also incorporates influences from other metal genres, particularly in the drums. Their signature style features raw, dark riffs, deep grunts, and piercing vocals.

The lyrics are personal in nature, drawing from the band members' own experiences combined with mythology and historical events. Tracks like "Fragmenta Anima", "Psychomortis", and "Cocytus Unbound" showcase the band's versatility while maintaining their distinctive sound.
