About: Spartan Warrior

Rooted in Sunderland's working-class rock scene since 1980, Spartan Warrior have been flying the flag for straight-ahead British heavy metal across four decades. Reunited since 2008 with most of their original lineup, they draw on material spanning from the NWOBHM classic Steel 'n' Chains to their 2018 record Hell to Pay.

Bradford's Toranaga helped define British thrash in the late 1980s, with classics like 'The Shrine' and stage time alongside Manowar and Venom. Frontman Mark Duffy now leads a revamped Toranaga UK back into action, with new studio material on the way.
