Expeditie Stadsstrand

From Monday 24 to Friday 28 August, Stadsstrand Vlaardingen offers daily 'Expeditie Stadsstrand' activities for children up to 12 years old. Participation is free and no registration is needed - just drop by. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14:00 to 17:00.

In the covered craft area you can paint tiles, make peg dolls, decorate happy stones and create mosaics with salt dough. Or build a boat from twigs and launch it right away. Seed bombs are also made: clay balls with flower seeds that you place somewhere and forget about until they bloom.

Outside on the sand, Ludo explains sand sculpture building all afternoon - you can just join in. Joris runs sports and games, and from 16:30 pizzas are baked. At the worm hotel there's a quiz about worms: fill it in correctly at the craft area and a water ice lolly is waiting for you. On Thursday at 14:00 the fire brigade visits - subject to availability, as they must leave if called out.
