METALNIGHT: Epifyse, Snackbar Piet and The Night Templars

Rockcafé Taste hosts its annual Metalnight, this time featuring three bands on stage: Epifyse, Snackbar Piet and The Night Templars.

Epifyse is a five-piece band from the region, founded in 2016 by Marten and Quincy. Stefan, bassist Raoul and drummer Deòn joined later. The band has multiple releases on major streaming platforms. Their sound draws influences from Nirvana, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Judas Priest and Michael Kiske, but Epifyse has above all developed their own distinctive style. In 2021 they released a second single as a protest song against the circumstances surrounding the World Cup in Qatar. Line-up: Quincy van Dijken (vocals), Marten Nieboer (lead guitar/backing vocals), Stefan Flierman (lead guitar), Raoul Dinkelberg (bass) and Deòn Van Der Zee (drums).

Snackbar Piet is an Achterhoek cover band from the Varsseveld area. After a debut performance in 2006 at the Buurtschapshuus on Heelweg and a comeback at Albafest in 2019, the band now performs for the first time in six years - this time as a quartet, with a new guitarist (known from Atoms of Roses and KNOX) and largely new material. They play songs by Metallica, Sepultura, Nirvana, Megadeth and Rammstein, among others. Line-up: Mikel (vocals/drums), Mark (guitar/vocals), Rudie (bass guitar) and Remco (drums/vocals).

The Night Templars brings a mix of punk and metal with reverb-heavy vocals.
