Humanga Danga + Sant Anna Bay Coconuts

Nothing is what it seems - especially not with Humanga Danga. Four guys from Ghent playing Tarantino-style surf might sound like a familiar story, but it's not.

The influence of Dick Dale, The Jokers and The Ventures is unmistakable, but Humanga Danga doesn't stop at genre clichés. Bossa, cicha, Balkan vibes, exotica, western, movie themes - with their own instrumentals the band goes in all directions. Live they're known for pumping reverb and tremolo, and those rumble-in-the-jungle drums leave little room to stand still.

Sant Anna Bay Coconuts is a four-piece instrumental surf band that moves between deep, gripping waves and airy tropical riffs, driven by a solid rhythm section. They have three studio albums to their name and recorded a live album during a tour along the American west coast. New work is coming out this summer.
