Tom Beetz Book Presentation & Album Concert

Tom Beetz presents his new book "On the Front Row - photographs and stories from fifty years of jazz". Since 1975, Beetz has written about jazz for newspapers and magazines including NRC, Brabant Pers, Jazz Nu, Jazzflits and Jazzism. When he returned to his passion for photography in 2000, he combined it with his journalistic work.

The book contains over ninety concert photographs from 2000-2025, paired with stories and reviews spanning half a century of jazz. Image and text together form a personal document full of memories of concerts, musicians and encounters.

The book presentation is combined with a concert by the trio Angelo Verploegen (trumpet), Ed Verhoeff (guitar) and Eric van der Westen (bass), who are simultaneously launching their new album "What's in a Name?". The album features musical portraits of jazz standards with a person's name as the title. The trio celebrates its 25th anniversary this year.
