About

Tom Beetz is a Dutch jazz journalist and photographer who has been writing about jazz since 1975, contributing to publications such as NRC, Jazz Nu and Jazzism. He picked up photography in 2000 and combined it with his journalistic work. His book *Op De Eerste Rij* brings together ninety concert photographs from 2000-2025 alongside reviews and stories spanning fifty years of jazz.
